Christ promised his followers that he would feed them here on earth and welcome them to a banquet in Heaven. He fulfils his promise through the sacrament of the Eucharist by offering His own body and blood to feed the faithful both physically and spiritually.
The Eucharist is the most eminent sacrament, in which Christ himself is contained, offered and received. As children reach the age of 7 or above, we extend them an invitation to celebrate the sacrament of Eucharist. This is done through participation in our parish Religious Education program and through our Catholic Primary School, St Joseph’s in Loftus.
If you are going into hospital and would like to receive either Holy Communion or the Sacrament of the Sick contact the nurse on the ward and ask to see a Catholic Priest. Or alternatively call Fr. Simon on 07952 922318 and he will come and visit you whilst you're in Hospital.
